BAPS Student Group

The purpose of the USciences' BAPS Student Group is to unite students on University of the Sciences’ campus and provide opportunities to learn about Hindu heritage and culture and a Swaminarayan way of life. It introduces the Hindu faith to the rest of the campus community and fosters issues affecting Hindus through youth group discussions, campus events, and community service projects. Students are able to discuss topics that affect them in college and learn methods on balancing the life of both a college student and practicing the Hindu faith.

BCF is an organization approved by the Bochasanwasi Shri Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha, Inc., a leading denomination of the Hindu faith (hereinafter “BAPS”), and represents itself in a way that is consistent with the guidelines set forth by BAPS.

Specifically, the purpose of BAPS is threefold: (a) To provide socio-spiritual services to those of the Hindu faith. (b) To introduce the Hindu faith to the general University of the Sciences Hindu community. (c) To be a source of knowledge regarding the Hindu faith to the general University of the Sciences community.
