Black Student Union

The Black Student Union was founded as the Black Academic Achievement Society by minority students in 1971 on the values of empowerment, education, and diversity. BSU strives to promote political, cultural, educational, and social consciousness.

BSU's goals are:

  1. Stimulate an appreciation, awareness, and development of African American cultural heritage.
  2. Serve as a positive influence in the academic environment of the University of Sciences campus.
  3. Be a resource and professional network for, but not exclusively to, all minority populations of the university.
